It’s been 2½ years since the beginning
Yesterday, I recorded Episode #20 of The Creatrix Experience podcast in which I share highlights & lessons from my 35-year entrepreneurial adventure. I did a lot of “backward glancing” as I planned for this celebration of my wonderful (sometimes scary) life choices & those who’ve come along for the ride with me. (coming soon…)
This got me thinking about what I’ve created here on Substack, which turned into a scroll down memory lane & I was struck by just how much inspiring & practical content is here!
And, I noticed, that even I, the one who made it all, found it challenging to know where to look next. I’m sure for you, my dear reader, it must be exponentially so.
That’s when I decided to start writing “What’s Going On” posts like this one. I’ll organize them the way I do almost everything these days by WORK, CRAFT & LIFE.

CRAFT
At the moment, most of my writing, designing & recording is focused on creating content for The SPIRAL. It’s been a delight to write the creative exercises for the Sourcebooks, “download” the visualizations & gather my notes from their various homes in notebooks & folders scattered about my atelier as I outline the lessons.
In terms of 3-D projects, I’m currently working on 3 knitting projects.

A deep teal alpaca sweater featuring Viking inspired knotwork patterns (after 2 years, I’m finally at the “adding buttons” stage!).
A glorious peony pink mohair/silk/alpaca super wide scarf which is so fine, it takes me almost 30 minutes to knit just 2 rows!
A surprise gift for Milo, my brand new grandson (whose Mama reads this blog which is why I’m not giving any details!)My Babette Jacket is in the works, I’ve made a toile (a trial version cut from plain cotton fabric to check the cut & fit). Now I just have to draft some sleeves so I can see the complete piece. Next up, finding fabric. This may take a while…
My studies-du-moment include reading about how Mary Delany at 72 created the new artistic technique, now known as “collage” back in the late 18th century when she casually cut up some coloured paper & formed the pieces into accurate botanical images. FASCINATING! I must say, I never thought I’d find this book so interesting which is probably why I’ve had it since 2013 & am only just now, cracking it open! I adore reading about other creatives & their processes. It’s also why I’m thrilled to work with my clients as they design their OWN unique methods in The SPIRAL.
I’m also reading The Extended Mind. It’s given me many new ideas of how to present information in my programs & private sessions which make content easier to access & work with. (I’ve always got a neuroscience-based book on the go…or something “spiritual” or both…)I’m also setting up to charge new energetic oils for the “dark” months, if you’d like me to make you a custom blend, let me know. There’s a sacred island not far from here, the Ile de Sein, that I’m thinking of visiting with some oils. Stay tuned.
LIFE
I’m deep into exploring the wonders of lymphatic drainage, fascia work & the powers of yin yoga to open my system up so I can run higher frequency energy even more freely. I wish I’d known so much of this years ago—it would have made profound a difference as I began consciously using my “Clairs” & regularly working in the spiritual realms.
But, everything is unfolding perfectly. I’m taking notes & translating my experiences into new practices which I’ll be offering to my clients in the coming months.Construction work on my house is continuing… as it has been for the last 15 years. It takes a long time to restore an historic home with care & sensitivity!
I’ll be reconfiguring my atelier this week which will include rearranging my 1000 or so books. I’m look forward to enjoying new energies here this Autumn/Fall+.
I’ve also got plans to make my own sort of collage in our Library using colour photocopies of some of my photos or even my favourite fabrics. To be decided…This point could be listed under any of these headings—I’ve been further developing my Expanded Clairs. This is an ongoing exploration which is creating ripples throughout all areas of my life.
At the moment, I’m playing with “how far” I can perceive into my Field and how smoothly I can take an idea around the Creatrix Spiral & bring it into being. Take this post for example, I woke up with the idea for it this morning & here it is, finished this afternoon!
I thought this would be a short post & it turns out I had more to share than I expected. It’s always good to do a monthly Work/Craft/Life review just like this.
