🔥 Ancient vs. Modern Initiations 🌟

Especially for those who've been burnt before...😉

I chose to include the word “INITIATION” in the title of my
upcoming mentorship immersion with great care.

I know we all have different views of what an initiation is &
you’ve probably experienced quite a few in your life
—spontaneously &/or intentionally.

And, it’s also likely that some of them left you
raw, confused & sometimes feeling broken…

Here’s why that happened &
how the 7 Initiations I’ll be leading in May, June & July
will be remarkably different from those you’ve undergone in the past.

If you’ve experienced the old-fashioned kind of initiations which left you “picking up the pieces” for months after, the carefully-crafted initiations which form the core of the 7-Initiation IMMERSION to Become a Rich & Creative World-Weaving Mystic are just for you!

They illuminate you on every level – the effects ripple through your body (deep into your cells & even your DNA), your emotions (a sense of delicious ease & expansion arises), your thoughts (increased clarity & confidence arrive) & radiate far out into your energetic field.

The Origins of “Initiation”

I always enjoy a good dive into my favourite etymology resource before I use specific words in my work to discover their true meaning & actual vibration (you’d be surprised how many words regularly used online mean something entirely different than what we think they do!)

So, let’s take a look at where “initiation” came from.

Most of the original meanings are what we might expect—to begin, to originate, to go in. When I found “to instruct in mysteries & secret sacred knowledge” and then “get out of the head”, devotion, an entrance & a portal.

I knew I had chosen well.

Ancient vs Modern Initiations

In ancient times (& in many instances, even now), initiations focused on bringing about an enormous change in the initiate, to blow apart their old ways of seeing their place in the universe & dramatically alter how they go on living afterwards.

These were (are) purposely built to scare the brain, stress the body & evoke explosive emotions. Think of the rituals many shaman use to bring about a sense of total death & resurrection by burying the initiate alive, or the fearsome vision quests where the person must spend time alone in a dangerous environment (jungle, desert, tundra) or the complex practices which include extremely hallucinogenic drugs.

What do these all have in common?

• Sending the person into unknown spaces/places alone

• Upsetting the physical aspects of the person (body/emotion/brain) in violent ways

• Dragging the person down into life-draining, low energetic frequencies such as fear, panic, guilt &/ or shame

• Relinquishing personal power to another in the name of becoming someone new
  .

These rituals were developed 1000’s of years ago when the frequency of the planet was slower & denser. Times when many people believed that the 3-D aspects of humans were heavy, toxic & even rather stupid.

The general assumption was that the initiate needed to submit to force before they could transform & grow. Many people believed (some still do) that evolution must be rigidly engineered & difficult to access.

(Not me…read on…)

These practices harmed more often than helped & frequently left the initiate in a subservient position to either those who dispensed the trials &/or terrifying entities & gods.

Of course, an initiate was different after undergoing such trauma!

Even when they chose willingly to participate in the initiation (which wasn’t always the case…) the fabric of their personality had been torn.

I have experienced trauma-based initiations like this (no jungles or burying were involved) which left me with more questions & doubts than I had before.

Yes, I was fundamentally changed.

I was also more hesitant to allow myself to go deeper into working directly with energy, to enter new states of consciousness, to share my knowledge & wisdom…the very reasons why I’d decided to enter into the initiatory situations in the first place!

I could feel myself moving gingerly around spiritual activities & especially groups, for YEARS afterwards.

AND,

I only recently realized this a few months ago

—every one of those experiences also re-activated lost memories of other lifetimes when I DID participate in violent ordeals (& didn’t always come out alive) = not good.

This awareness is a key reason I vowed to design a better, gentler, more beautiful way to initiate women into their latent natural powers & personal riches…many of which they’ve never expressed or enjoyed in this life (or any of their other lives).
